Photographic Retouching Service
Photographic Retouching
In the days before the computer became available to all, the retouching of photographs was a very “hands-on” activity. The retouching technician had to be skilled in the art of air brushing, as well having the ability of an artist. It would take hours, often days, of painstaking work and as you can imagine, such a labour-intensive occupation was quite expensive. Today, with the advent of powerful computers and of scanners that can digitise images, things are a lot different and retouching has become something that most can afford.
What is Photo Retouching?
As you can see from the images above (the before and after), retouching can make an incredible difference to a picture. Items can be removed or added but sometimes what really make all the difference is changing the colour balance and the boosting of the intensity of an image (or just parts of it).
