4th Triennial of Photography in Hamburg - Germany

From the 11th to the 20th of April 2008 Hamburg will be the centre of photography in Germany. The events purpose is to get creative people from Germany, Europe, even the world, together to create new exciting things, both in Germany and throughout the world.

The thought behind the even is that by concentrating photographic artists in one place, their unusual ideas, unlimited imagination, and extreme commitment to photography will blossom. There will be a series of exhibitions, lectures, films, presentations, and, perhaps more excitingly encounters between photographers with different ideas and approaches.

It is in the end all about women and men from various countries throughout the world and allowing them to input their personal experiences and ideas. It will be a showcase as to what is happening throughout the world, whilst at the same time providing a  forum to the work of major photographers, both established talents and new ones.

Hamburg is in fact the ideal place for photography, most German photographers living in the area, many of the important photographic collections being in the city’s museums and photo galleries. Other Hamburg institutions also integrate photographic works into their programs, so in April 2008, Hamburg will be the place to be if you are interested in photography.
